Pet Fair 2010

Maldives National Chamber of Commerce and Industry is organizing Pet Fair 2010 in association with Pet Association of Maldives and Maldives National Broadcasting Corporation.Pet association is a dedicated association to the well being and protection of pets by creating/raising awareness amongst people.

The annual event is held as a way to increase public awareness and promote pet owners business to the Maldivian public.Moreover, Pet lovers also who bring their pets to the fair are invited to the  provide some insight of their caring pets to the public.

The fair is scheduled to be held from 13 to 17th of August 2010 at youth koshi in front of Villa College from 4pm to 6pm at afternoon and 8pm to 11pm at evening.

 


 

 





 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Entertainment Logo has been launched.

Maldives National Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s Entertainment Logo has been launched on 9th July 2010. The event took place in the same

Ceremony held to launch the MMOPC logo which was live telecasted by Television Maldives.

Entertainment industry has been growing very fast in recent years. Many events has been organized with performance from the international and local professionals. Since there has been lot of complains from general public due to the loss they have faced due to the cancellation and postponement of larger event involving financials from public.

Realizing the need for complying with certain standards from the organizers in terms of their financial background and professional and technical background MNCCI introduced the Entertainment Logo.

Maldives National Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s Made in Maldives Original Product Logo has been launched on 9th July 2010. Different Craftsmen from different atolls attended the remarkable ceremony. The event was live telecasted by Television Maldives.

 

Being aware that the Intellectual Property rights law has not still been implemented in Maldives, thus recognizing the need for authentication of made in Maldives original products, to prevent the craftsmanship in Maldives and Handicraft Industry in general MNCCI launched the certification process by using MNCCI logo.

MNCCI meets with SICCI

Maldives National Chamber of Commerce and Industry has met with Singapore International Chamber of Commerce and Industries at its headquarters on 5th July 2010. This was the first time MNCCI delegation has visited SICCI has met with SICCI.

The historic meeting was attended by Mr. Ismail Asif, the first vice president of MNCCI and Ms. Keryn Chua, a Senior official of SICCI. In the meeting both parties agreed upon to collaborate in the work to build up the relationship between two chambers and to develop bilateral relations between both the nations. Also of importance is the exchange of trade related information between both the countries.

 

MNCCI signs MOU with Youth Ministry.

Maldives National Chamber of Commerce and Industries signed MOU with Ministry of Human Resources Youth and Sports. The Ceremony was held today 28th June 2010 near the outdoor basket court of Maafannu Station

The purpose of the MOU is to collaborate in the development of the Human resources, sport facilities and to promote the youth entrepreneurship.

MOU was signed by Mr. Ismail Asif, Vice President of MNCCI and Minister of Human Resources Youth and Sports Honorable Uz. Hassan Latheef.

Senior officials from both the institutions attended the ceremony.
